Homemade Carpet Stain Remover Tampa FL

As a carpet cleaner in Tampa FL I use commercial grade carpet cleaning solutions to get out carpet stains. Unfortunately, I'm not around when something gets spilled in your carpet so here is a good homemade carpet stain remover made with Oxy Clean.  Let me insert my disclaimer here: Oxy Clean can cause color loss on some carpet types and should be tried in a hidden area before it is used on your carpet stain. I work for Oxy Clean but I am familiar with the ingredients in the product.  

This video shows how to mix water and Oxy Clean together but it fails to give you mixing ratios.  You'll want to mix 16oz (2 cups) of warm water with Oxy Clean leveled off to the first line of the included scoop. I'm not sure what the measurement of the first line is but it's all you'll need to make a powerful carpet stain remover.Using more Oxy Clean will make a more powerful cleaner, but it also puts your carpet a greater risk of color loss.

In the video they use a condiment squeeze bottle to apply the stain remover. If you don't have a squeeze bottle you can pour it from a measuring cup or the bowl you mixed it in.  follow the instructions and wait 1 to 5 minutes before you start to blot of the stain remover.  Don't rub or scrub the carpet fibers, just blot gently and firmly.
