I have been in hundreds of Tampa FL homes where there has been pet urine damage, but I would not recommend the advice in this video. It has been my experience that pet urine odor removal is best done by neutralizing the odor not trying to cover it up. I have seen far too many of these sub floor odor sealing efforts to know they often fail and are ineffective.
Pet urine odor removal can be done with the right solution. In many cases the saturating the area with a urine neutralizer and keeping it wet for twenty four hours can remove the offensive pet urine odor. Then the sub floor can be painted or seal to prevent future staining.
Sealing the floor without neutralizing the urine can lead to odor finding its way through the sealant and permanently encasing the urine in the floor. I have run into this problem with several Tampa FL homes and fixing it can be expensive. You're better off calling in a professional odor elimination service than trying to go it alone.
