This video shows Urine Gone stain and odor eliminator being used to treat a recent dog urine stain. Urine odor removal is difficult to achieve with over the counter products. In most cases when you find a wet urine deposit in your carpet you can take care of it with a lot of water and a few towels. You really need to flush the urine out of the carpet and the carpet pad underneath. This requires a lot of water and some patience. After soaking the spot you can then apply towels to soak up the urine. Use at least 3 towels on after another to remove the excess moisture. Then leave a towel on top of the stain so the rest of the urine can wick into the towel as it dries.
Products like Urine Gone are enzyme-based urine odor removers that destroy the urine crystals before they form. They can be effective if they are applied early enough to prevent urine crystals from forming. I use an enzyme-based urine odor remover in my own Tampa FL home. It works great on fresh urine deposits, but I don't use Urine Gone.
Dry urine deposits are much harder to deal with and will require a professional-grade urine odor removal treatment to get rid of it. Chem-Dry of Tampa has an amazing urine odor remover called PURT. It knocks older dried urine deposits permanently. I use PURT almost on a daily basis in customer's Tampa FL homes. If your in need a tough urine odor remover call Chem-Dry of Tampa.
