I don't work for Zerorez but from time to time I get asked about the difference between our cleaning solution and Zerorez's cleaning solution.  The big difference between our cleaning solutions is that ours, Chem-Dry of Tampa FL's, is carbonated and has a balanced pH of 7.  Zerores's cleaning solution is not carbonated and has a higher pH.  

Zerorez's marketing says that they leave no residue behind to re attract soil to the carpet.  Chem-Dry's marketing says that we do not leave dirt attracting residues behind on the carpet.  So what residues does Chem-Dry leave behind after cleaning.  Our carbonated cleaning solution does not leave dirt attracting residues but it does leave the carpet slightly damp.  Any moisture left behind on the carpet is considered a residue. If you pour tap water on the carpet it is still considered a residue. It just doesn't attract soil.
